Every well job is a depth question first
Water around Jacksonville comes from two places: the sand above the clay, where the level moves with the season, and the Floridan limestone below it, where it does not. Which one a well draws from decides its cost, its reliability, its chemistry and what pump it needs. The shallow and deep well pages set out the trade-off plainly.
Whichever it is, the permit goes to a different office depending on the county, and the well has to keep its distance from any septic system on the lot. Call Flamingo handles both sides of that on one visit, which is the whole reason the two trades share a truck.
